Shopify returns portal

Inspect the return.
Then issue the money.

RefundShift gives furniture, home-goods and other high-value Shopify stores a customer portal, proof collection and a two-stage authorization workflow—without replacing the shipping process that already works.

The workflow

From request to settlement, without losing the thread.

01

Collect the request

Customers choose eligible items, explain the reason and add photo evidence in a branded portal.

02

Review the evidence

See the order, items, photos, amounts and return history together instead of chasing an email thread.

03

Authorize the return

Approve or reject each item. Approved returns receive an RA/RMA number and clear shipping instructions.

04

Inspect, then settle

Issue the refund or Shopify-native store credit after the item is received and inspected.

What the portal adds

Built around evidence and control—not label volume.

Proof attached to each request

Free includes one customer photo per item. Core and Growth add a second photo and secure revision requests for updated photos, written explanations, or both.

Cash refund or Shopify store credit

Show both choices on Free and add an optional store-credit bonus. Paid plans can control which choices appear where policy and law allow.

Return authorization numbers

Every approved return receives an RA/RMA reference for customer emails, tracking and receiving.

Separate authorization and payment

Approving a send-back does not have to issue the refund or credit. The final settlement can wait for inspection.

Your existing shipping process

Customers can arrange shipping, or you can attach a prepaid label bought elsewhere. RefundShift does not require a carrier account.

Complete downloadable records

Every plan includes Excel and CSV transaction exports. Core and Growth add analytics and reconciliation views.

Shopify built-in vs RefundShift

Use Shopify’s native rules. Add the workflow you still need.

Shopify already supports self-serve requests, return windows, percentage restocking fees, flat return-shipping charges and final-sale rules. RefundShift is useful when the missing part is evidence, item-level review, store-credit incentives and a separate inspection-and-settlement process.

It is not a fit when you need…
